A special celebration was held at the British Council on July 19 to congratulate young learners for successfully completing their first Summer School. This special event was planned exclusively for children and it included a wide range of fun activities which allowed the children to practice their English skills in real-life situations. Activities included special storytelling sessions, magic shows, face painting booths, balloon animals and snack corners. The event was held on the last day of Summer School 1. Parents were also invited to the event where they had a chance to speak with the teachers and discuss the progress of their children. The Head of the Teaching Centre, Mrs Carol Ashen said, “At the British Council, we know that children learn best when they’re enjoying themselves. Our enthusiastic teachers create a supportive and encouraging environment where young learners can practise their language skills with new friends. We use the latest technology and interactive group-work so children can build their confidence in talking to their peers.”Summer School 2 will be starting from July 24 and will end just before the Eid Al Adha holidays. Special summer courses are available for children and adults with flexible timings and different levels so that students can learn and develop their skills with confidence.
