The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters and British Council Kuwait are pleased to announce Kuwait's participation as an honorary guest at the prestigious Nour Festival in the UK. Lulwa Al Shamlan, Nuqat, Q80Tone and Ali Al Zaidi will represent Kuwait at this international platform for the Arts.
The Nour Festival illuminates the best in contemporary arts and culture from the Middle East and North Africa, in venues across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London, each October and November. Showcasing a broad spectrum of arts and culture - including film, music, literature, poetry, performance, and visual arts - Nour reaches a diverse audience of local, national and international visitors. Growing each year, Nour takes audiences on an unforgettable journey into this region, its cultures and art forms.
The British Council aims to create opportunities for artists in MENA and the UK through the friendly exchange of knowledge and ideas. We enable people to learn, acquire and transmit knowledge in ways that are closely linked to their geographical, historical and linguistic backgrounds. As part of this ideology, British Council Kuwait works across a variety of art forms and supports cultural institutions to reach and engage wider audiences in the UK and Kuwait.
