The British Council Examination department in Kuwait is looking for suitabily-qualified and experienced people to join its team of Venue staff to administer, invigilate and supervise students sitting for examinations administered by the British Council in Kuwait ensuring that exams are held according to the relevant UK examination board, British Council requirements and code of conduct.

Role overview

This post is part-time. It is essential that the applicant has excellent oral and written communication skills in English, able to work to deadlines with ability to display flexibility, delivery and results oriented, possesses excellent organizational skills, has a solid problem-solving, decision-making and analytical capabilities, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Being committed and consistent with regards to availability provisions, avoiding last minute changes, to ensure smooth delivery of exams.
  • Strict adherence to exams timelines. Reporting promptly to test venues at agreed time. In case of any delays or if unable to get to the test venue, informing the appropriate test day or British Council Examinations Services staff in a timelymanner.
  • Follow all relevant standards & procedures, based on training and reference materials provided by the British Council Examinations Services and the relevant Exam Boards.
  • Handle all exams equipment, resources with great care, and take necessary actions to preserves exams resources from damage, theft, or loss.
  • Be familiar with the emergency procedures for the test dayvenue.
  • Invigilate examinations to the standard required by the British Council Examinations Service and the relevant ExamsBoards.
  • Actively monitor candidates during tests to make sure that there is no violation of testprocedures.
  • Support the supervisor to ensure that candidates have a positive and consistent test day experience and building a positive image of the BritishCouncil.
  • Ensure all material is accounted for and handed over securely to thesupervisor.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of exam assignments. Complete all reports, logs and claims accurately as required by British Council Examinations Services.
  • Follow all relevant guidelines and policies in the areas of: Data Protection, Child Protection, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity, andAnti-Fraud.
  • Report any incidents, emergencies, or breaches of security to the appropriate test daysupervisor.
  • Work with the test day supervisor to promote and ensure the wellbeing of candidates at all time. In case of emergencies, follow correctprocedures.
  • Additional duties in line with the role may berequired.

Working hours & payment:

  • Hourly paid rate 4 KD per hour.
  • Working hours 4 to 08 hours on exam days – depending on the exams duration.
