Once submissions close on 19 February 2018, the British Council will select and announce up to twenty finalists in February 2018 whose films will be showcased online via the British Council’s MENA YouTube Channel.
The films on this channel will form the basis of the online film festival ‘Small Screen, Big Film’ which will be accompanied by a media campaign in order to promote the works of the finalists and give a platform to emerging talent from the Gulf to tell their stories to a global audience.
During the 10 day online film festival in March the top 20 films will also be celebrated via the British Council’s global social media channels that will encourage views, likes and comments.
