Parkour Performance by The Urban Playground (UPG). The Urban Playground is the UK’s original and premier performance-parkour company. They have worked with parkour in a performance context since 2003, and with co-creator of parkour, Malik Diouf, since 2006.
Their work has toured nationally and internationally for clients including the British Council, the National Theatre, the Without Walls consortium of outdoor performance festivals, numerous council authorities, independent venues and young people’s festivals. UPG performed a piece entitled ‘The Inner City’ over a parkour set which was built locally in Kuwait. This is a twenty minute knock about choreography which combines parkour with contemporary and hip-hop dance for all the family.
